Today we learned about Audacity. Even though I don't normally do podcasts, I know about Audacity. So I was a little bored.
I am holding out on creating much in class. I find the class a bit distracting, and I have a much better headset at home. In fact, this is my headset:

I also have this sound card on my home PC:

A Vision of K-12 Students Today
That was a pretty sappy video, and I also found the music way out of place.
However, it raises plenty of great points. 2 hours a week reading, 17 hours a week watching TV! Okay, maybe our culture promotes too much TV. And that includes TV's slow transition into Internet use due to high bandwidth streaming.
An inverted Bloom's Taxonomy is a surprisingly effective concept of the 21st century learner. Things like creation, discussion, evaluation, and analysis take center stage over memorization and drilling. The technology now exists to make the former possible with ease.
My Podcast
Special thanks to David Riachi, Scott Rosecrans, Natalie Paquin, and Andrea Perrault for lending their voice talents to the podcast.
I used Audacity to sync all the audio files together, and I grabbed sound effects from Partners in Rhyme.
Did I say anything this week that you found comment-worthy? I doubt it, but discuss anyway!
